These terms govern your use of the MunchMatch iOS app. By downloading or using MunchMatch, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
MunchMatch is a restaurant discovery app for the Greater Toronto Area. It shows you a swipeable deck of nearby restaurants sourced from Google Places, lets you save the ones you like, swipe together with friends to pick a place as a group, and links you out to maps, delivery platforms, restaurant websites, and social video for more information. A business portal for restaurant owners to claim and customize their own listing is in development and not yet available to the public — see "Business accounts" below.
You need a MunchMatch account to use the app, created with Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or an email address and password. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide an accurate, working email address if you sign up that way.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account inside the app. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You can add other MunchMatch users as friends using a friend code or in-app invite, and start a Group Match session to swipe on the same list of restaurants together. You're responsible for who you invite and what you share with your friends through these features. Don't use them to harass, spam, or contact people who haven't agreed to connect with you.
We're building a separate business portal so a restaurant owner or operator can claim their restaurant, view its aggregate performance analytics, and optionally customize its listing or pay to have it shown more often ("boosted"). This is not yet available to the public. When it launches, you'll need the authority to represent any restaurant you claim — impersonating or claiming a restaurant you don't own or operate won't be allowed, and we may remove a claim or suspend a business account made in bad faith.
Restaurant details (names, addresses, hours, ratings, and photos) are sourced from the Google Places API and may be incomplete, outdated, or occasionally inaccurate. Always confirm details like hours of operation, dietary accommodations, or menu items directly with the restaurant before visiting.
MunchMatch links out to third-party services including Apple Maps, Google Maps, Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes, DoorDash, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, as well as restaurants' own websites. We don't operate these services, aren't responsible for their content or availability, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. We don't receive any commission or payment from these links today.

MunchMatch is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that restaurant information will always be accurate or current.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MunchMatch and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on restaurant information or interactions with third-party services linked from it.
We may update these terms as the app evolves, for example when restaurant profiles or user accounts launch. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
