MunchMatch Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the MunchMatch iOS app. By downloading or using MunchMatch, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What MunchMatch is

MunchMatch is a restaurant discovery app for the Greater Toronto Area. It shows you a swipeable deck of nearby restaurants sourced from Google Places, lets you save the ones you like, and links you out to maps, delivery platforms, restaurant websites, and social video for more information. A restaurant-owner profile feature is currently in beta and not yet available to the public.

Restaurant information

Restaurant details (names, addresses, hours, ratings, and photos) are sourced from the Google Places API and may be incomplete, outdated, or occasionally inaccurate. Always confirm details like hours of operation, dietary accommodations, or menu items directly with the restaurant before visiting.

Third-party links and services

MunchMatch links out to third-party services including Apple Maps, Google Maps, Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes, DoorDash, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, as well as restaurants' own websites. We don't operate these services, aren't responsible for their content or availability, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. We don't receive any commission or payment from these links today.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app or the services it depends on;
• Use automated means to access the app at a scale beyond normal personal use;
• Impersonate any restaurant or business.

No warranty

MunchMatch is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that restaurant information will always be accurate or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MunchMatch and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on restaurant information or interactions with third-party services linked from it.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves, for example when restaurant profiles or user accounts launch. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
