Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account to use MunchMatch?

Yes. Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or an email and password — whichever's fastest for you. No phone number required, and it takes a few seconds.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, any time. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and can't be undone.

How do I see restaurants near me?

Allow location access when prompted, or tap the filter icon to search by a specific GTA city instead.

How do the swipe gestures work?

Swipe right to save a restaurant to your Matches, left to skip it, down to preview the menu, and up to see short-form videos about it. You can also use the buttons below each card.

Can I undo a swipe?

Yes. Tap the rewind icon in the top-right corner of the Discover tab to bring back your last card.

How do I swipe with friends?

Add friends from the Friends tab using their friend code or an in-app invite. Once you're connected, start a Group Match from the Friends tab or Home to swipe on the same list of restaurants together — everyone sees a match the moment the group agrees on something.

Can I hide closed restaurants?

Yes. In the filter sheet (Discover or Group Match setup), turn on "Open Now Only" to hide anything that's currently closed.

Are restaurant owners able to claim their listing?

Not yet — a business portal for restaurant owners to claim their listing, view performance, and customize their page is in development and not currently open to the public.
